Update: I am now hosting weekly makeup gatherings, live painting, and discussion in my Zoom Palace starting Wednesday April 29th at 3:30 or 7pm (Unfortunately due to apocalypse parenting styles, I won't know the exact time until the day of but it will be posted in the Facebook Group "Quarantine Red Carpet")
So let's talk about our feelings in regards to COVID-19. In the wake of a terrifying pandemic we are left feeling loss, feeling stress, feeling uncertain. That's totally normal! I am personally trying to juggle work from home, managing our business, a 6 year old with no Zoom etiquette attending her class online, a 3 year old with no spacial awareness, and a 6 month old getting his first teeth. Trust me when I say; I get it you are not alone.
The situation is not ideal but it has caused us to reevaluate who is "essential" no surprise nurses, doctors, teachers, delivery people, but also our grocery store clerks, and drive thru attendants. We as a society need to remember that THESE are the people who worked during the pandemic. These people deserve our gratitude.
As a business-owner, I was also faced with the uncertainties; what do I do about my work? How can I help? I have already distributed some of my access fabric to others who are making face masks, I am hoping that others are able to do this as well. The neck gaiters available in the shop are intended only to extend the life of your PPE, they are not used for full or partial protection from virus particles. PLEASE always use additional protective gear under your gaiters, bandanas, and scarves.
I am also continuing to create paintings and illustrations that will be available as prints or custom mailers. Please send me an email if you have any questions but allow 3-4 business days for response as my schedule is (as expected) weird and busy and sometimes frantic.
